Free Montessori printables

Every printable on the site is a free PDF, and none of them asks for an email. The scope and sequence and the 7 shelf plans by age cover every lesson; 10 more go with 8 of the lessons. Each PDF is built from the lesson pages, so it says what the page says.

Every printable belongs to a lesson, and the lesson page has the presentation step by step. The pink tower pattern cards, for example, come after the pink tower lesson, once the child builds the plain tower alone. If you aren't sure which age to start with, the shelf plans below list every work for an age in the order to offer it.

Printables by age

Each age starts with its shelf plan: every work for that age on one page, in order, with a column to date each presentation. The lesson printables follow. A lesson often spans two or three ages, so its printable can appear more than once.

How to print them

  • Print at 100%, never "fit to page". Several files are drawn to scale, and each of those has a small square to check the size.
  • Every file prints on US Letter or A4. The side margins are wide enough that nothing gets cut off on either.
  • Print cards in color on card stock, or glue plain paper to card before you cut. Dashed lines are cut lines.
  • Print the lesson printables as often as you like for your own children or a co-op you teach. Please link to the page rather than reposting the files.

The text in these files is CC BY 4.0 (credit Owen Wren at Homeschool Montessoriwith a link). The drawings aren't covered by that licence; the terms have the details.

Lessons with no printable

We only make a printable where paper helps the child or saves you work, so 52 lessonsdon't have one. Each still appears on the shelf plan for its age.

The printables follow the sequence. To see where each one fits, the scope and sequence lists every lesson in order with its age and what comes before it. If you are new to this, six short questions give you a first shelf for each child.
