Reusing the lesson text
The lesson text and the scope and sequence are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, adapt and share them, including commercially, if you credit Owen Wren, Homeschool Montessori, link to the page you used and say whether you changed it. Photos and illustrations are not covered by that licence: they are all rights reserved.
The plates reproduced from Maria Montessori's books The Montessori Method (1912) and Dr. Montessori's Own Handbook (1914) are in the public domain and are not ours. Each is labeled with its book and year (and its figure number where the book gives one), and we claim no rights in them.
Printables are for your family
Print the lesson printables as often as you like for your own children, at home or in a homeschool co-op you teach. Please do not sell the printable files or repost them; link to the lesson page instead. The lesson text inside them stays under the licence above.
What the lesson pages are
Each lesson page is a written guide drawn from Maria Montessori's published books and the sources it cites, as explained on the about page. It is general information for parents, not a teacher training course, and not medical or legal advice. Montessori training programs differ in small details, so use your own judgment about your child.
Several materials have small parts, and the pouring and washing works use water and breakable jugs. The age ranges are typical starting ages, not safety ratings: stay with a young child during any work, and keep anything small enough to swallow away from children under 3.
Prices and links to other sites
Prices on material pages are approximate street ranges with the date we noted them, and they change. Links to other sites are there because we think they help; we do not control those sites and are not responsible for them. The site carries no affiliate links today; if that changes, each page with one will say so above the first link.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We correct errors when we find them, but we cannot promise every page is complete or current. To the extent the law allows, Kindred Works LLC is not liable for any loss or injury arising from your use of the site or of any material made or bought because of it.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
